Portugal has a rich Islamic history that is still visible in architecture and urban planning. During this group tour, we will discover Lisbon and its surroundings, where Moorish influences, historic districts and impressive castles come together. A varied trip full of culture, history and relaxation.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Flight Amsterdam → Lisbon | Free evening
After arriving in Lisbon, the evening is free to relax and get a first impression of the city.
Day 2 – Islamic Lisbon City Tour
Today we will take a city tour focusing on the Islamic past of Lisbon. We will visit the Alfama district and the Castelo de São Jorge, from where we have a beautiful view over the city.
Day 3 – Visit Belém
We visit Belém, known for historical monuments such as the Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. Of course, there is also the opportunity to taste the famous Pastéis de Belém.
Day 4 – Sintra & Cascais
Today we travel to Sintra. We visit the Castelo dos Mouros, walk over the castle walls and enjoy the view from the watchtower. We also visit Quinta de Regaleira and see the iconic Palácio da Pena. Then we travel on to the coastal town of Cascais.
Day 5 – Free day | Return flight Lisbon → Amsterdam
The morning is free to spend as you wish. Later in the day we fly back to Amsterdam.
