Malaysia is a versatile destination where culture, nature and relaxation come together. During this group tour, we will discover historical cities such as Malacca and Kuala Lumpur, with visible colonial influences and important Islamic sights. We travel on to the ancient rainforest of Taman Negara and the cool highlands of Cameron Highlands, known for their tea plantations. In Penang, we get acquainted with the rich culture and local cuisine, after which we end the trip relaxed on the island of Langkawi with beach, nature and tranquility. A varied group tour through Malaysia, carefully composed with attention to comfort and experience.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Please note: flights not included

International flights are not included. Participants arrange their own travel to and from the destination.

Day 2 – To Malacca | Free afternoon and evening

After arrival, we travel to Malacca, a historic city with colonial influences. The afternoon and evening are free to recover or explore the city at your own pace.

Day 3 – Malacca City Tour & Floating Mosque

Today we take a city tour of Malacca. We discover the rich history and visit, among other things, the impressive Floating Mosque, beautifully situated on the water.

Day 4 – To Kuala Lumpur & Batu Caves

We continue to Kuala Lumpur. En route or after arrival, we visit the famous Batu Caves, an important cultural and religious symbol of Malaysia.

Day 5 – Kuala Lumpur City Tour

During the city tour of Kuala Lumpur, we visit the National Mosque and the Islamic Museum, among other places. A day full of culture, architecture and history.

Day 6 – Free day in Kuala Lumpur

This day is free to spend. You can shop, visit local markets or relax in the city. There is also room for your own interpretation or optional activities.

Day 7 – To Taman Negara & evening jungle walk

We leave the city behind us and travel to Taman Negara, the oldest rainforest in the world. In the evening, we take a guided walk through the jungle and get acquainted with the nightlife of the rainforest.

Day 8 – Bukit Teresik Jungle Walk

Today we explore the jungle further with a walk to Bukit Teresik. From here we enjoy impressive views over the green landscape.

Day 9 – Jumuʿa & to Cameron Highlands

After Friday prayer, we travel to the Cameron Highlands. Along the way, we take a countryside tour and enjoy the rural Malaysian landscape.

Day 10 – Mossy Forest & tea plantations

We visit the mysterious Mossy Forest and visit a tea plantation. A day full of nature, fresh air and unique vistas.

Day 11 – To Langkawi | Free afternoon and evening

We fly or travel to Langkawi. The afternoon and evening are free to relax and enjoy the island feeling.

Day 12 – Penang: Kek Lok Si Temple & Penang Hill

We explore Penang with a visit to the Kek Lok Si Temple and Penang Hill. A nice combination of culture, nature and panoramic views.

Day 13 – Free day or optional excursion

This day is free to spend. You can opt for a visit to Universal Studios or an optional day trip to Kobe (at your own expense).

Day 14 – Mangrove tour

Today we take a mangrove tour, where we discover the unique ecosystem of Langkawi by boat and enjoy the tranquil nature.

Day 15 – Free day | Optional activities

A free day on Langkawi. Optionally, you can participate in activities such as horseback riding or parasailing (at your own expense), or simply relax.

Day 16 – Back to Kuala Lumpur

The morning is free. In the afternoon we fly back to Kuala Lumpur. The evening is free and we spend the night in the city.

Day 17 – Flight Kuala Lumpur - Amsterdam

After an unforgettable trip, we say goodbye to Malaysia and fly back to Amsterdam.
